Dear Friends,
Hello. Our former landlord has withheld our two-month deposit after we moved out as he is insisting we pay for repairs to our old unit costing 11k. But the real costs of the damaged fixtures needing replacement is but minute (less than 2k) comparing to the full amount of the deposits (19k excluding 3k in utility deposits). He wants us to go to the barangay if we wish to but we know he is confident to win there since he apparently has a huge influence on them.
Litigation is lengthy and it would cost us more if we follow this track. May I know of other options we can take to get our deposit back less the rightful amount of expenses?
