Good day!
Please I need some clarifications about this subject matter.

Scenario:
An employee passed the training and was given a contract for it, that training is a must for his job. and he passed it. no training fee was collected. Free food, accommodation, wifi and even training allowance. he signed another a 2-month-contract. now he decided to leave the company immediately. he doesnt want to render 30 days. so it's breach odf contract.
Part of their agreement is to pay the damages for the company. Instead of him paying the remaining days on the contract, they made a verbal agreement not pay it instead he will just pay the training given to him including the allowances and the allotted expenditures for a trainee.
Is this action ok? Can he counter-file for a legal complain?
NOTE: the former employee made a letter not to file for any legal complain against the company, this is the deal between the company and the former employee for the company not to charge him for the remaining days on the contract.

PLEASE help! thank you so much

yes, both parties agreed. through writing too.
But, is the company's action fair?
what if the employee filed for a complaint? does the company has something to fight for?
