Arresto Menor

my employer told me that I must first do the schedule of the whole school before I can have my certificate of employment... my contract ended last march 16,2013 and the scheduling process will be held later this may 2013... it is like I am forced to do it before i can totally leave that school... but my employer allowed me to have a "certificate of employment" but for scholarship purposes only... can that be a substitute?
