case against 17y/o mistress

Hello Atty! I hope you can give me advice on this complicated issue.
My husband is a Phil. Airforce Captain. I am now here in UK for 3years and when I went back last Oct 2012, I found out that my husband is having an affair with a 17 y/o girl who is a daughter of my husband's subordinate. I have seen their ym conversations and there has been several times that it was the girl who asks my husband out. I have contacted the father for her daughter to be guided properly because they are living inside the camp and the father thinks that his daughter is still to young to flirt with these men in uniform, but he reacted the other way, he all blames it on my husband and mentioned about filing a case against my husband as his daughter is a minor. I understand that she is 17 but the girl admitted to me via chat that they have a relationship and she is aware that my husband is married. I have forgiven my husband in the condition of monetary arrangement such as his salary and retirement benefits. So the father is tolerating her daughter by virtue of being a minor which she will be 18 this coming Oct. Not being naive but we all know how youth today are, they mature very early.

Is there something I can file against the girl who happens to be a minor but is fully aware of my husband's marital status? Are the parents not liable for their children's behaviour? I am sure not just because one is a minor gives her excuse to ruin a family.

Can my husband say (if they complain) that he doesn't know the girl is a minor?

Your husband is responsible for his action no doubt and he cannot deny she is a minor! you did the exposure for him! You should have investigated first before informing the father for this fact! no matter what happens the father will always take their daughter's side and for him to think your husband took advantage of his daughter, he has every right to sue your husband for statutory rape! even if she turns 18 the fact that he started screwing her before she turns 18. Too bad he made the crime, he should face the consequences I'm afraid!

Under 12 is pedofile! Statutory rape is under 18. Which law are you into? Philippines or UK? that law you just mentioned sounds like law in UK to me not in Philippines as Lots of girls in UK at the age of 13 do have babies and the parents are fine with it due to a reason they are after to claim benefits. Any intercourse with under-age are punishable by law that's why shotgun wedding happens to avoid imprisonment. But he is your husband and he committed another sexual intercourse with another lady which happens to be under-age and it is a serious offense. you cannot twist the law! You just hope they don't do anything against your husband but since you brought up the matters to the father's attention you think he will just spank his daughter and everything will be alright? I doubt it! You shouldn't have stirred the situation. you might need to get a good lawyer to defend your husband, I'm afraid!

IMO, iamshe is correct.

Also, I believe Pedophile refers to a person diagnosed with psychiatric disorder called paedophilia.

Pedophilia is a sexual activity with children who have not reached puberty which is 12 years below..

The argument here is that when she says the girl is turning 18 and so she want to think that her husband can get away with the crime and she does not agree that this age is still under-age to do sexual activities, anyone who has sexual intercourse below 18 years old can be charge a violation of statutory rape! even if the girl flirted with her husband he should have resist it!
But the big mistake here wa when she brought the matters to the father's attention and your husband is a Phil. Airforce Captain? even worse! it can damage his career!
