hi! i want a legal advice regarding my loan with a cooperative. i have financial problems right now and unable to pay my loan. the last time i was able to pay my due was last july. and now the collectors and legal officers has been harassing us on phone calls and by going in our house. i explained to them that as of now i cant pay my loan because i really am having financial problems as of the moment but have no plans of running away from my debts. they told me that they'd really file a case against me that would make me suffer and make my life difficult. my cousin went to their office asking how much do i owe them and that if he can pay them monthly. their officer said that even if my loan has been paid they will still file a case against me if i dont make an appearance..

i would like to ask if what are my rights as a debtor? what case can they file against me if i cant pay right now?and how come they will still sue me even if i have paid my dues?

i hope someone could give me some answers because the harassment that ive been experiencing is too much..thanks
