We were just married for 8 months and I honestly regret of marrying him. Enough with the drama but the reason why I want to file for an annulment its because 1. He abused me physically and verbally my mistake was at that moment when bruises were still fresh I didn’t go to the police or to the authorities for medico legal. 2. We have a four month old baby and I caught him shaking my baby and spanked my little boy when the poor angel was crying so hard and my spouse was so sleepy to take care of him. And lastly I coudnt bare his immaturity I mean not to make an excuse or to create a story that will be in favour of me but what pisses me off was the fact that were living in my lola’s house for FREE and I didn’t see him helping us with the chores after work he will shut himself to bed he will wake up eat and leave the house I mean for God sake he should know how to do the “pakisama” coz that’s how it should be. I find him unrespectful. I know the 3rd reason was so swallow but still all that ive been thru I don’t think it is healthy for us to stick together.
Now ma’am heres my question. Since we got married for less than a year (civil wedding) will this be easier for us to be granted of annulment?
How much will it cost me all in all?
How long should this case be resolve?
Checked PAO’s website and they can only accommodate someone with a net income of not more than 14000php, my net is more than that but with all my expenses at home and for my 4 month all baby does that mean I have to hire a private lawyer?

Embarassed

I think Php 13k and below monthly income is considered "Indigent" and the law provides for PAO assistance to defend/protect their rights. However, "Psychological Incapacity" as a bases of filing a Petition for Annulment of Marriage is too hard to prove, unless there is an omission in the requisites of marriage during its celebration, and hence void ab initio, and a Petition for Declaration of Nullity of Marriage shall apply.

Hundred(s) of thousand of pesos should be prepared for that petition.
