Bigamy Case of an OFW

Hello Atty.,
I just found out that my father is married with another woman.
-What are the punishment for this case?
-How long will they stay in prison if convicted of the said crime?
-How long will the case last and how much will it cost?
-Can I demand child support since my mother is unemployed?

Facts:
*stated in his passport- he is single.
*there is a marriage contract between him and my mother.
*they are not legally separated and as far as I know, my father did not file an annulment case.

background:
-He is an OFW working in the middle east.
-My mother is an unemployed housewife.
-He is the main provider.

do you have access to both marriage certificates?

No. I only have access to my mother's papers... I just found out about the other woman because they posted their pictures and status using facebook...

cenomar from NSO is better evidence not facebook

I advise you go to a Legal Clinic of Law Schools. They sometimes offer free services.

What if I happen to have both the marriage certificates? Can you please answer my questions on my first entry/message? Please...

I am still waiting for the cenomar... Pero while naghihintay ako, I want to know what can I do in this situation... It frustrates me.

frustrates you why?? mother mo dapt yung na frufrustrates hindi ikaw..

before mo gawin yang mga bagay na yan pag demanda sa tatay mo pag isipan mo mabuti...

baka hindi mo alm imbes na may manahain ka sa tatay mo mawala pa dahil sa pag dedemanda mo..

anyway choice mo yan wait mo n lng yung CENOMAR ni father mo..
as far as i know correct me if im wrong BIGAMY is not like other case na hindi mo basta basta pwede iurong.. kahit pa sabihin mo iurong muna govt mismo makakalaban ni tatay mo kya mag isip isip ka baka mag sise ka sa huli..

If you have copy of both marriage certificates, bigamy case is possible.

main provider pala ang father mo bakit mo gustong makulong? unless pinutol nya ang sustento sa inyo saka ka lang mag take ng action. kinausap mo na ba ang mother mo sa plano mo? hindi basta basta ang gagawin mo! tama si Pedro Parkero "don't kill the goose that lays golden eggs!" otherwise, how it will produce more golden eggs? kung ipakukulong mo father mo sino pa ang mag maintain at susuporta sa inyo financially? bago ka gumawa ng hakbang siguraduhin mong alam ng mother mo ang gagawin mo dahil dapat nyang paghandaan ang responsibilidad kapag nakulong ang father mo at wala syang trabaho papano kayo mabubuhay?

hindi naman sa final decision ko na ang ipakulong siya... i just want to know, what rights can I practice in case makapag-decision na ako kung anong nararapat na gawin.. hahay! hindi ko po talaga alam yung nararamdaman ko ngayon eh! hindi pa nga alam ng mama ko.. ayokong mas magkasakit pa siya dahil sa problemang to.. kaya ako na muna ang aako..
