I live in a Subd that is governed by a board of directors. Several complaints have been filed with the board over some questionable activity. The Board has retained legal council to defend them from all the complaints which have been made by Association members. My question is. The board is paying the Attorney out of Association funds. The Attorney represents the board not the Association. Therefore the members of the Association are paying for the boards Attorney to fight against them.....Conflict of interest...or ethics violation...? any ruling or ethics code that would support wrong doing would be greatly appreciated.
