Court Summon

Good Day to everyone. I just want to ask a legal issue. I just received a CourtSummon yesterday. This is a case filed against me. I haven't seen na summon yet because it was delivered at my office. I am pretty sure it's violation of BP22. 2 years ago I loaned from this Bank in Makati amounting to 50,000 payable in 2 years. And so I issued Post Dated Checks. On June 2011, I forgot to deposit money for the check for that month. And so I called them up and we settled to do a cash deposit payment plus the penalty. It was a year later that I stopped paying my dues because of financial problems. I still have 17,605 balance remaining..So they got me a court order.

I just want to ask, will it be possible for me to call up the law office of the suing party and come up with a settlement scheme?
