Arresto Menor

I just want to ask legal advice. Kapag po ang husband ay nag cash loan sa bangko, nag-issue ng check at nagbounce at hindi alam ng wife ang loan, he also indicated na SINGLE sya, can the bank collect/demand payment from the wife?
