Hi gusto ko lang pong magtanong regarding sa mga anak ko, Me and my long time gf already have 2 kids we were living together. Kaso hindi pa po kami kasal, tanong ko lang po kung instantly magiging legitimate po ba ang mga anak ko once na magpakasal kami. Ipinanganak po kasi ang 2 anak namin na hindi pa kami kasal pero nag sign po ako sa birthcertificate nila at surname ko po ang gamit nila. And we are planning to get married this year. If not, ano po ang steps na kailangan kong gawin para maging legitimate sila? Thanks in advance

Hindi instant na magiging legitimate anak mo pag nagpakasal kayo. Kailangan:
Pumunta kayo sa LCR dala ang marriage contract, birth certificate ng bata, at gumawa kayo ng Affidavit of legitimation, dalhin nyo rin to.

hi,i had the same problem but in our case my first name is not completely stated in the certificate of legitimacy now NSO won't give us copy of my son's birth certificate with remarks because of these discrepancy: 1.my name stated in the cert. of legitimacy is "thelma" but in my marriage cert. is "ma. thelma"
2. my birth cert. say's "maria thelma" but in my marriage cert. is "ma. thelma"

so i guess my problem is very complicated...
