Arresto Menor

Im being diagnosed with myofascial pain syndrome. My doctor recommends rest and light activities for 30 to 45 days. I immediately informed my supervisor about my medical condition. I filed for sickness notification with the SSS The SSS doctor upon seeing my lab results concluded that my case will be categorized as a muscle injury and reduced the number of days that I will be compensated by the SSS. Upon learning of this, my supervisor ordered me back to work and hinted that I will be charged with AWOL if I did not repotr back to workand will be penalized w/ suspension/dismissal based on company rules (I I am guilty of AWOL this would be my second time). My question is this, can an SSS doctor who doesn't even personally examine me can override the medical opinion rendered to me by attending physician? Am I guilty of AWOL if I will not report back to work..

the answer is yes, but only insofar as the amount of compensation to be given. if your company has its own doctor, better to get an opinion there.
