Middle Name Issue

Need advise on the middle name that I am using.

The middle name shown on my BC is my second name and not the maiden name of my mother. I have been using this ever since in all my documents like IDs, school documents, passport and Visa, and other work related documents.

However, when I was applying for a SSS ID, they questioned that I have been using the wrong middle name, and they cannot issue me the ID until I corrected the same.

Is there a need to correct this? If so, then all my documents will be affected or has to be changed? Please advise. Thank you.

would an affidavit of one and the same person be enough?

Middle name is usually not an issue. Nagiging issue sia pag may mga public documents you need to fill up. In this case, there shall be a change or correction in your birth certificate. This has to be filed with the court.

imo, you can inquire with the local civil registrar about correction of clerical error.

you can actually have it change sa registrar. where do u live ba baka i can help.

Me problem po aq regarding my double birth registration.
Is it possible that NSO can automatically cancel my second birth registration without court order since considered naman pong invalid/void na yong second birth? Medyo matagal kasi ang proseso sa court.
Hope to hear any comments from anyone who have knowledge about this issue.

I really need your advice po..nag aaply po ako abroad ngayon,okay na po sana lahat ng papeles ko except po nung nag visa stamping po sinabi po sa akin ng coordinator ng agency na hindi po maii-stamp ang visa ko po dahil wala po akong middle initial,illegitimate child o ako at since nag aaral po ako ay wla po akong ginagamit na middle initial,kumuha ako ng nso birth certificate po at wala naman po talaga nakalagay doon,hanggang sa passport,nbi,sss at iba pang mga documents po na kinuha ko ay wala po nakalagay na middle initial kasi po yun po ang nakalagay sa nso ko po,papunta po sana ako na kingdom of saudi arabia at iyon po ang naging problema ko sa ngayon,hinihingi po nila ang midlle initial ko..napag alaman ko po na ang mama ko ay walang nakalagay na middle initial sa birth certificate ko,gamit ko po ang apelyido ng mama ko,paano po ako magkakaroon ng middle initial?at matagal po ang proseso nito?

hello po. hihingi po sana ako ng advice po nagpa-plan po ako kumuha ng passport this coming feb 13, 2013, kayalang na ngangamba po ako kc iba yung spelling ng middle initial ng mother ko,sa NSO ko po ,ang tama po yung sa mama ko , hindi ko po kc alm kung yung gagawin regarding po dun ,, iniisip ko po baka mag ka problem sa pag kuha ako ,i realy need advice po wrong spelling lang po tlga sxa.. sana po matulungan nyo ako ...
