No separation pay for 3 years of employment??

im a server in a restaurant..i worked there for 3 years and got terminated for tardiness..i committed 5 consecutive lates and subjected for termination..

i heard from my former co-worker that he didnt receive any separation pay when he was terminated..

i worked there for 2 1/2 years of regular employment and 6 months of probationary period..

should i receive separation pay from my company??

when terminated for cause, you will not be entitled to separation pay. but you are allowed to contest your termination at the nlrc.
