Hi Attorney, what can we do if some co-heirs to a property left by our great grand parents have migrated to other countries, assumed foreign citizenship, and can no longer be located? We'd like to prepare an extra-judicial settlement, but some heirs can no longer be located. The property in question has been in our control and possession for decades and we have added improvements thereon. Is there a way for us to we claim the entire property legally, since they have implicitly abandoned their share of said property?
