Good Day.

We have a former client who just got back here in the Philippines. He is already an American citizen and he wants to mortgage his house and lot here. Are there laws that prohibit foreigners to mortgage their properties? Will our Real Estate Mortgage document suffice?

if he is a former filipiono then he is still allowed to own the property

Therefore, he is allowed to mortgage his property? Is it proper to identify him as an american in the Real Estate Mortgage?
