Good Day!
I have an unpaid credit card bill, cancelled na po yon card (HSBC) and collections team is now after me. A certain person from credit dept asked me po to settle any amount when she called. Any amount dw po that I can pay. I said I have 1000 and I will pay the next day kc po late at night na po ako nkakauwi ng bahay due to my work schedule. Now i did pay. Now i received a txt saying " this is from credit investigation bureau inc. your civil case complaint has been finalized to us under RA 8484. We are going to serve with our investigation team after 24 hours as SOP. You can still hold by calling at (number) and look for atty. leotangco or any legal officers avialable until 2pm. otherwise just prepare necessary document with your lawyer for your defense"...... Now i called the person who asked me to pay any amount but forcing me to pay more than what i can afford... now she is forcing me to submit Promisory note.... I called that atty. leotangco and told me that he is giving me until 1pm to pay the full amount of 19,000. otherwise a case will be filed against me...
Please help.. makukulong ho ba talaga ako? dont i have the right to decide how much i can pay only so long as i am not running off?.. i wanted to pay but i do not have much capability right now... anu po gagawn ko.. financial crisis po ako sa ngayon. but that doesnt mean d ko babayaran un..... natatakot po kc ako as this is my first credit failure... prior to this po.. i did not receive any monthly bill from them kea d ko po nabayaran.. though it is my obligation to pay, but i still need a bill proof. please help
