Arresto Menor

I am planning on marrying a man who finalized his divorce in Oregon in late 07. His ex-wife walked away with pretty much everything and he pays her spousal maintenance and child support for his 18 year old.

My question is if we get married, can his ex-wife get more spousal support from my income because we are married? Or is the spousal support based on my future husband's income only? Also could she, at some later date, tap into my assets (which are mainly in another country)? I couldn't find anything about it in the Oregon State Law.

If so, how can we protect our joint assets from her being able to assess them?

I appreciate your assistance with this.
