need help please

hello everyone....
this is actually a problem of my aunt's bf.her bf was issued a material for welding under his name..
while he was on duty he was called by the foreman because his collegue was caught by the security guard while checking his bag on the way out,the welding material issued to my aunt's bf was there.
now collegue and the bf of my aunt was detained in the police station...then police said that they to hold him since he was the one who signed the material...he was held and locked in the police station since 5pm.
is that legal that he was pointed as well and detained without any evidence...it was his collegue caught not him.what shall we do....

is the inquest done?

inquest is not yet done...

till now they are being held in police station :-(

then it should be conducted first thing on monday.

the bf should argue that the stolen item item was not found in his possession and he is not in conspiracy with the guy who got caught with it

unfortunatelly he is still there in the police station,inside the cell..:-(
