i have a friend working in an airline company. he's working for almost 7 months and has signed a 1 yr contract. he told me before that they receive a memo from hr that they will renew a contract and will be under an agency. nagulat po ako sa txt nya kanina na ngayun daw ang renewal at hindi po sya ni renew ng kontrata. its like they fire my friend. is it true that a private company has all the power on whatever they want to the especially to there employees? does my friend the right to complain to the hrd?

what is the nature of his work? was he allowed to complete the 1 year? what does it say on his contract about termination?

thank u po sa reply.. masaya po sya s work nya k close nya daw po ang mga co-loader and supervisor nla kahit mahirap ang work itself. usually po ng nrenew ay may backer sila s trabaho. anyway po sir, nabanggit nya khapon n my pinirmahan sila n pumayag n ilipat s agency.sabi dw kc ng hrd irerenew dw nmn. pwede po bang magreklamo ang kaibigan ko?

what i meant was, what does he do for the airline? is he a pilot, airline mechanic, ticket seller?

it really depends on what is written on his contract, but if it is for a duration of one year, then he can claim security of tenure during the duration of the contract, but not regularization.

yun lang naman po sana ang gusto ng friend ko ang matapos ang contract.pwede po b syang mgreklamo s dole abut s nangyari? unfair dw talaga ksi kramihan s mga ni renew ay my backer s trabaho.

yes, he can file a complaint at nlrc if he was terminated.
