Hi, I need to know if verbal abuse is a ground for ANNULMENT.. My husband has been very verbally abusive since then.. He belittles me, call me names and demeans my personality..He even deprived me from working, he wants me to stay home but then calls me "batugan"... I have some of our conversation saved online since he lives in the States and am left here in the Philippines with my son. I have been emotionally abused and I cannot take this for granted as my self confidence has been affected. Please I need some help!

well, that really isn't verbal but it's a form of communication.

if he's in the USA, he will counter that a criminal charge will not prosper because he is outside of philippine territory. you can argue that the element of violence was experienced here.

to build your case, i recommend you visit the dswd and they'll help you with a pscych test.

you have to be sure that a legal remedy is what you want to do. once you initiate, he might retaliate by stopping all communication and all support. good luck.

By the way, if in case my husband stops supporting us financially is there a chance that I could file for a child support even though he is in the states?
