My mother's first name is misspelled on my birth cert. I am about to get a passport, will this be an issue?

Thanks!

probably not, but it will depend on the docs examiner

that will require a court petition to correct entries in your birth certificate. you will have to get a lawyer.

Hi Atty.
I'm scheduled to apply for a passport but I just noticed that my mother's middle name was misspelled. Her correct middle name is Escamillas but on my birth certificate it shows Escamellas. What should I do?

Thank you in advance.

you can file a petition for correction under ra 9048 if it is just a mere typo error

i want to apply passport for my daughter, pero yung middle name ko in her birth certificate is BELESO, it should be BELESCO, magkaka-problem po ba ako dito?

possibly. your remedy is to file an administrative petition for correction of clerical error.

good evening atty,
my fist name is MA. CORAZON, sa birth cert of ng panganay ko, CORAZON lang ang nakalagay, at sa bunso naman MARIA CORAZON..Saan po pwedeng ipaayos ang mga ito?thank you po.God bless.

i don't think the ma. and maria should be a big issue, but you can can file an admin case for correction of clerical error at the civil registrar which issued the wrong spelling.

but for adding ma., try the admin case, but i would think that would require a court petition.
