Can my employer make a new contract out of an existing contract? If yes, what are the grounds for doing so? Thanks!

In the previous contract that I signed on my first day of work, it says there that I can get the accumulated fidelity bond at the end of contract. Now they let me sign a paper that the fidelity bond wll be completely forfeited if I will be terminated because opf AWOL. I got absent yesterday but I informed them thru a text message. They let me sign a paper that I will be terminated on my next absence. No excuse from getting absent until I finish my contract. Is it just?

no, that's too harsh for being absent. you would have cause for illegal dismissal.

Oh, thhank you so much for your response. What's the proper protocol of the employer terminating an employee because of AWOL? They say that I will have immediate termination after my next absence. Thanks again!

they should send you a written notice to return to work and 5 days to file your explanation that you are absent.
