qualified or simple theft?

my husband was accused by his employer of a criminal case "qualified theft".question ko po is qualified po ba talga yung case nya or simple theft lang?ganto po kase nangyare..nagstole cia ng gift certificate ng company nila worth 3K pesos.he's just an ordinary employee don sa company nila.knuha nya sa cabinet nung isa sa mga supervisor yung gift certificate without the permission.kase yung supervisor ang nagkikeep nung gift cerificate.then nung dnala cia sa police narecover din nung company yung gift certificate kase nalaglag yung gift cert sa kanya bago cia dalhin sa police.meaning naibalik nmn sa kanila.ano po ang penalty kung sakiling maconvict cia kase nabawi nmn nila yung gift cert.?please help me with this, i need an answer.thanks

talk to the employer and hopefully get them to agree to drop the charges or he pleads guilty to a lesser offense (like simple theft) which can be probated.

ayaw din po kase makipagsettle or makipag-areglo nung employer nya.payag lang cla na magbayad kame ng 150K pero for lesser offense lang po(para maging simple theft).pero tuloy pa rin ang kaso kahet magbayad po kame.problem po is ipapangutang pa namen yung pera in case magbayad kame.kaya ask ko po kung magfafall ba talga yung case as qualified theft?
