i need advise regarding an issue that involved my 5-year old nephew and his 8-year old playmate. here's what happened:
my nephew accidentally pushed his playmate during rough play, which caused the playmate to fall from a fence. my sister, mother of nephew asked the child how's he feeling and he said he was fine.
one week later, the playmate's mother demanded from my sister to have her child x-rayed and check-up by a doctor. according to the mother, his child suffered on and off fever so she brought him to a manghihilot during that 1-week period. after that the child developed bukol on his lower back and head. so my sister was hesitant, coz in the first place she do not know what's the cause of the bumps. when she informed the mother about that, the mother retracted her statement and said that she indeed brought her son to the manghihilot but was refused because of the bumps. so my sister asked her why informed her when it was already late, not the time when her son had an on-and-off fever and she was told because "ayaw na namin na magastusan ka pa". now the playmate's parent's harassing her about the issue and blaming my nephew for what happened with their son. they produced an ultrasound result w/c stated that the bumps where "acute hematoma formations due to fall." the date on the ultrasound was 8days after the incident. they even had my sister escorted by 2 barangay tanods from her house and we later found out that there was no complaint filed in the barangay. so both parties decided to settle the issue in the barangay office.
my question is, was the ultrasound result valid to press charges againts my nephew and sister? my sister does not want to shoulder the expenses because of their harassment, and she's not sure the real cause of those bumps. please advise.
