most probably they filed a criminal case. check again with the court to confirm.
if convicted, yes.
depends on the evidences and witness the aggrieve will provide to the court.
hire a lawyer and depend himself in the trial.

this is a criminal case, if a warrant of arrest was issued, it is very likely it will appear on his NBI record
