Hi all,

Need help po. We were retrenched March 27 and was given our basic pay and Feb commissions until April 27 as part of our retrenchment package.

We work on events po kasi. Before we were let go nung March 27, nagttrabaho na po kami for events for the next quarter. We already had registrations and one of the events I was handling is 58% to goal na. Nung nanghihingi na po kami ng follow up sa breakdown and release ng back pay namin, we were told hindi na daw po namin makukuha yung commission namin for the events we worked on before we left.

The best explanation we received from our client is since they recently changed the commission scheme (instead of giving the commissions monthly, they will now give out a certain amount for the 1st and 2nd month of the quarter, and if you exceed 100% sa events, makukuha mo yung commissions mo sa 3rd month) and since the quarter technically started na wala na kami don, hindi na daw kami elligible for the commission.

As per our HR naman po, we should be thankful daw na we were at least given back pay and retrenchment package kasi hindi naman daw talaga kami dapat bigyan non since coterminous daw po yung contract namin with the client.

I was wondering if dapat pa po ba namin ipaglaban yung commission namin?

Please let me know if merong medyo magulo dun sa explanation ko. This is my first time asking for help re these matters.

Thanks in advance.
