Hi! What are your thoughts regarding the ff situations (Torts, Crime, Damages, Liability). All of these are based from "prank gone wrong" videos. This is for our upcoming midterms. Thanks!

1. Boyfriend made a prank that she is cheating on his girlfriend. GF read the text message and presumed that her BF is cheating on her. GF got a knife and was about to kill BF. Presuming that GF killed her BF, will there be any liability? Explain.

2. (This is a video from China they say) 2 men are playing prank by pretending that one killed the other via gun in order to scare passersby. Upon witnessing the incident, passersby panicked and run away. However, one passerby (policeman who thought it was a real shooting incident) took out a gun and shot the prankster who acted as the killer. Any liability? Explain.
