hi guys, can someone give us an idea on what to do because my mom had one of her credit card borrowed by a "friend". unfortunately, they just verbally agreed that "friend" will pay for the monthly due since, obviously she's the one who was using it. first few months she did, until she stopped because she can't pay for the 40kplus balance she have (even though the card had a limit of 33k only). since it's under my mother's name, the bank had been calling us about it so my mom would relay it to her that she needs to pay. until they had a confrontation with the barangay capt. in order for it to resolve but obviously it did not. "friend" said she can deny it because she did not sign any papers. in short she'll just run away from her obligations, now my mom needs to pay for that 40k, it might not be a humongous amount, but that 40k can still help us for my mom is only a single parent, and im still at school. we don't know what to do and i don't want my mom to be cutting of budgets just to pay for someone else's debts.
