My present employer is requiring me to submit BIR form 2316 from my previous employer (I resigned last July 12). How should be personal exemption deducted? Full amount or pro-rated?

Personal exemption is already deducted in full by the first employer.

Combined income and tax is computed at year-end for any adjustments or refunds.

Assuming that my taxable income less personal exemption equals 16k, so tax would be aroud 1k+ and wtax deducted from January-July equals 4k. Does that mean that my previous employer has to pay me back 3k?
