husband abandoned family now applying for canada

I'm a legally married Filipina woman with 1 daughter from that said marriage. In 2012, my husband abandoned us with no support and has stopped communicating with us ever since. Through a common friend I heard that he has another woman who is staying in Canada. I'm not really sure if she is a PR or a citizen but I heard that she is trying to sponsor my husband so he can come and stay in Canada for good. What can I do to stop his application? Also, can I ask for help from POEA since he's an OFW?

you can also file a legal separation,
thus you can legally divide whatever properties you have as congugal.
there are grounds that will forfeit his shares on your properties..

Actually, I already filed a case in 2012. Kaya lang wala pa ring resolution until now. Everytime I call the prosecutor's office, lagi lang nila sinasabi that I should just wait for the resolution. Is there anything else I can do? Pero I also took my chance and wrote to the Canadian embassy. I'm not really sure if they can help but it's worth a try right?

RA 9262 yung finile ko. Pinadaan ko sa VAWCD ng NBI. Kaso ang tagal na wala pa rin progress. Ganun ba talaga katagal? Seaman ang asawa ko kaya madalas sya wala sa Pinas. Pero as far as I know hindi pa naman sya na-approve sa Canada.

yun din ang iniisip ko kasi di naman sila pwede mag-apply as magkapatid di ba? sabi pa ng kapitbahay nila ilang beses na daw nagpunta yung babae sa bahay nila.
