We have an employee who bought a car under the company's name in 2010 (he never transferred it under his name). Recently he had an accident (3rd party was claiming it was his fault), it was discovered that he has not registered the vehicle a year after he bought it (he bought it in 2010 and registered until 2011 after that he no longer registered it. The company has issued a fleet card to him and is shouldering 5K a month for repairs. Will he be liable to the company for negligence as he is using his car for legitimate field work for the company....
