My transfer assistance are:
- 1 month hotel
- 1 year housing assistance 3k per month
- 1 month meal allowance-18k (200/meal)
- actual transpo cost from permanent base to temporary base, vice versa after assignment
- shipment cost of personal effects from permanent base to temporary base, vice versa after assignment.
Permanent assignment relocation package of our company has some differences by giving the employee additional entitlement by also entitling his/her family members of above mentioned assistance, plus 1 month pay and vacation allowance, which I think is fair enough.
Since I am on a temporary assignment I was not able to bring my family.
The problem it create is that I have additional expenses as I have 2 utilities to maintain - bills, rents (3k is not enough), travel expense from temporary location to home base (atleast weekly), additional appliances&furnitures to buy.
Is there a law which I can use to bargain or use as reference that the assignment given to me provides me more expense than income? Or is there any law or guidelines to what minimum assistance that an employee should receive if he/she is on a temporary assignment relocated to another region/province.
