we are renting the same apartment for 18 years. We received a notice that the owner will increase our fee for 7% more. we are currently paying 7,000php . can we contest the pending rent fee increase? what certain rights do we have for the property because we fixed all the parts of the house that needs fixing etc.

please help, we are just earning meager salaries here and it will be burdensome for us if the increase should take effect.
