Criminal Case - Please Advise

Please advice...

My naissue ako na check before worth Php 21,000.00 as payment sa utang pero tumalbog yun kasi naubusan ako funds wherein di ko naman sinasadya. Nagkataon kasi na nagkatangalan sa company at nasama ako sa natangal that time so di na ako nakapag deposit pa ng funds dun. Pinakiusapan ko ang inutangan ko pero hindi na sia nagrereply. Then lately, my friend told me na meron daw ako case sa NBI. I haven't renewed my NBI yet.

Anu ang gagawin ko to verify if I have a pending case? please help..

Magagawan pa ba ng paraan yun na makapag paid off ako na walang arrest? kasi kung my record ako they should send me a warrant right? kaso i moved place na. lumipat kasi ako apartment and hindi ko alam kung saan nila papadala if ever ang letter.

Pati ba travel ko maapektuhan pag nag travel ako?

Is it considered Criminal Case?

check at your old address whether they received any notices. try to renew your nbi clearance and see if anything pops up.

yes, issuance of bouncing check is a crime. if the case has been filed in court, you can settle with the complainant during mediation.

if the complainant filed a watchlist order against you, then you may be prevented from leaving.

Thanks Atty. So do i need to show up to NBI on the day that I will pick up the clearance? What if i have a warrant of arrest already, are they going to arrest me automatically?

I have checked with my old address but they never received anything yet. It happens last 2008.

Also, if I'm at the airport already, are they going to arrest me or just prevent from leaving?

i doubt if they'll arrest you at nbi, but technically, they can if there's a warrant against you.

at the airport, it depends what records were given to the Bureau of Immigration. if it was the warrant, then you may be arrested, if it was a watchlist or hold departure order, then you will be prevented.
