Arresto Menor

I was just wondering if it's possible for me to drop my Jr. suffix since I don't really prefer it, and my father is not using his Sr. suffix. Which processes will it undergo, or can I just drop it without the aid of legalities and technicalities, since me and my father won't be interchangeable due to difference of middle name and date of birth. Thanks.
