light oral defamation

atty. inquire ko lang... we had a case filed against our neighbors it was a grave oral defamation case and the fiscals office issued a resolution of light oral defamation even of all the evidences and witnesses they made up stories to make it as if it was because of their anger even if they were the once harrassing us... can we still file a motion so that they would recieve a greater punishment or the court would be the once to wieght things if that is grave oral defamation or light oral defamation?

I would like to give my personal opinion base on my experienced in MTC court trials...kahit maging grave oral defamation yan or light oral defamation hindi assurance yun na mananalo ka sa case kahit pa sa tingin mo ay guilty ang accused. May proseso ang batas ang case nga namin 2003 pa until now hindi pa tapos tumanda nalang kami lahat nililitis padin kami..Accused ako ng Slight Physical Injury....
Think about settlement kung ready kana magkaroon ng peace of mind provided na ready maki[pag settle ang accused.Masyado masalimoot at abala sa hanap buhay ang pagpunta sa mga hearing,abuti sana kung it will take 2 years lang maantay mo yun eh kung tumagal katulad samin.

naku ganun po ba katagal kung magfifileng moral defamation???? paano kapag mga bata ang involved po att? kasi sa school po nangyari ang insidente and pinagbintangan ang mga bata at ang naghahatid, then sa brgy. ay hindi nya tinuloy ang reklamo nya, stop the case na daw, eh paano kako ang reputasyon na sinira nya sa amin at lalo na dinamay nya mga bata and until now ay sinisigaw nya ang word na hindi maganda sa amin? ano po ba laban namin?
