Community Property by Deceased Parents shall be enjoyed by all Children. Accordingly, you must all execute a public instrument or a Deed of Extrajudicial Settlement stating therein how you wish to divide the property among yourselves. Once you have executed the instrument and had the same authenticated, the instrument must be filed in the office of the register of deeds. If the estate of your parents includes personal properties, a bond must likewise be paid to the register of deeds, in an amount equivalent to the value of the personal property involved. Such bond shall be made to answer for any just claim, which may be filed by the creditors or other heirs of your parents who may have been unduly deprived of their lawful participation in the estate. The fact of the extra-judicial settlement must be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the province where the property is situated, once a week for three consecutive weeks.
